“The strong point of the film is the wonderful photography, by Sofia Oggioni Hatty : the shots, well balanced and original, tend to decentralize the characters, in order to enhance the environment that surrounds them; the natural elements and objects inside the house sometimes take on greater importance than the protagonists, marginalized in the corners of the shots. The lights also deserve special praise: the frequent chiaroscuro contrasts, created by the flames of the candles inside the dark Sirga, take on a metaphorical meaning; the warmth of the candle represents the familiar warmth that the characters are looking for in the darkness of their lives.”

Il punto forte del film è la meravigliosa fotografia, curata da Sofia Oggioni Hatty: le inquadrature, ben bilanciate e originali, tendono a decentrare i personaggi, al fine di esaltare l'ambiente che li circonda; gli elementi naturali e gli oggetti all'interno della casa assumono un'importanza talvolta maggiore rispetto ai protagonisti, emarginati agli angoli delle inquadrature. Anche le luci meritano una particolare lode: i frequenti contrasti chiaroscurali, creati dalle fiamme delle candele all'interno della buia Sirga, assumono un significato metaforico; il calore della candela rappresenta il calore familiare che i personaggi stanno cercando nel buio della propria vita.
